WHO WE ARE…
Young Moms Marin (YMM) is a support group aimed at community building for young parenting teens and young adults exploring the joys and challenges of parenting. YMM empowers young moms, ages 13 – 26 years to become the parents and people they want to be. Participating young moms determine the focus of the group. It is often open, relaxed, flexible, structured, chaotic, heavy, heartfelt, informal, eye-opening and fun! The YMM group can become close, sharing intimate and difficult aspects of daily life, as we tackle challenging topics often determined by the moms to be important for raising healthy babies and families. The group becomes a safe place for those that may come from marginalized and economically unstable households.
YMM participants are from all areas of Marin. Pregnant young women, and young moms with children, are always welcome! There is no sign up – JUST SHOW UP!
